CERE proposes to install a 145 kW rooftop solar power plant at PBMA’s HV Desai Eye Hospital, Pune. This rooftop solar PV system will generate 2.03 lac units of electricity annually and will help the hospital save Rs 26.39 lakhs every year in energy costs at Rs 13 per unit rate after removing fixed charges. The system will also be connected to the electricity grid via a net meter.
The project will have long term benefits and will help the hospital accrue financial savings that can support 10,145 cataract surgeries as well as other benefits for the patients over 25 years.
