The Sea Li-ion project will prove the environmental and economic case for ships to be able to run solely on electricity using lithium-ion batteries. The proposed Sea Li-ion project is evaluating the options and requirements for greater electrification using battery power in place of fuel. The project also will build ESS, using recovered or recycled batteries. Stena Rederi AB, Stena Recycling AB, Göteborgs Hamn AB, SEEHAFEN KIEL GmbH & Co KG, DNV GL Sweden AB are the participants of this project.
