RUR GreenLife, founded in 2009, is a socio environmental organisation focused on creating eco conscious citizens.
RUR (Are you Reducing, Reusing, Recycling?) ideates, designs, builds, trains and implements customised turnkey, cradle-to-cradle, waste-to-resource solutions which are both sustainable and decentralised.
RUR's decentralised, patented aerobic biocomposters replicate the forest way and recycle kitchen biodegradable wet waste into nutrient rich compost and have been installed in over 275 individual homes and communities, diverting over 750 tons of bio waste into compost annually. They have worked with Siemens, Reliance, ICICI, Godrej, Wadhwa, Kalpataru and more.
They conduct events to sensitise and educate citizens on sustainable living interacting with over 5 million people till date. They also have a range of recycled products like furniture, office stationary.

RUR Greenlife works on decentralized solid waste management solutions which align with Swacch Bharat Mission and UN SDGs. Through interactive workshops, campaigns, events citizens are educated and sensitised on sustainable living. Through their projects, we train the waste picker community on health and safety and a new skill of composting waste at source. They also have a range of recycled products like furniture, office stationary. They work on CSR projects to maximise recycling of waste.
Flagship Collaboration with Tetra Pak India
Through their flagship collaborative EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) and CSR project with Tetra Pak India, over 9.8 million empty Tetra Pak cartons have been collected by consumers for safe and effective recycling in Mumbai. Through this program, more than 1 million people have been educated on the importance of recycling. With 54 public collection centres in retail stores and over 250 private collection centres in schools, societies, churches etc, this program has been listed in Limca book of world records 2013 as a unique recycling program. Under this campaign, RUR has donated 350 school desks and 300 garden benches fully made from recycled Tetra Pak carton composite sheets.
